Communications Manager Internship

We are looking to grow our team by bringing on a new Communications Intern who would be working with the Communications Committee to implement a strategy that tells our story, highlights our community partners, and drives donor engagement. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in shaping the way our company is perceived by key audiences. You will drive brand awareness by being involved in all stages of the communications process from concept to message development to result-oriented evaluation.
The Communication Intern role requires a blend of thinking, administration, and development. The job allows for flexible/remote daily work but requires weekly check-ins with the leadership. The role requires on-site participation at various locations, as needed.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop PR and external comms strategies in partnership with business leads to advance business objectives.
Coordinate the production of promotional materials including releases, media kits, and presentations.
Use social media to tell our story in creative and inspiring ways that resonate with various audiences.
Manage website content and design to ensure delivery of clear and creative content.
Creates social media posts/content that aligns with the World U.P. brand
Engage new program partners to build our Community Spotlight Platform
Coordinates and communicates with Mobile Produce Pantry Program Manager to share volunteer opportunities, and programmatic updates.
Track email and social media metrics to report to the communications committee.
Assists planning monthly Board Meeting updates
Works closely with the Communications Committee, Board, and CEO to strategically develop new ideas and process improvements.
Active participation and influence on special projects (ex. fundraising campaigns, website design and development, partnership development, etc.)
Other duties as assigned.

★ Experience using social media for marketing
★ Proficiency using LinkedIn, Wix, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or G-Suite.
15- 20 hours a week based on monthly goals/program needs. Potentially additional hours each week, as needed.
